Swedish Body Heat For All
There’s some creative engineering at play in Stockholm’s Central Station where developers have established a way to harvest body heat and use it as an energy source. Over 250,000 people pass through the station a day giving off large amounts of body heat. This body heat is then collected by heat exchangers and converted into hot water which is piped straight to the heating system of a building across the road. Pretty amazing stuff. Full story on BBC.
