Sensations in a Hotel

Synth Eastwood’s favourite renaissance man Gruff Rhys is back with a new album called “Hotel Shampoo”. Not satisfied with any conventional release the Welshman is launching his album in the Blackpool Gresham hotel where for £62.50 you can receive a single room package entitling you to a signed copy of the CD, a live show in the hotel’s ballroom and bed and breakfast in the adjoining facilities. On Friday last Rhys performed an acoustic preview of a song from the forthcoming album recorded exclusively for the Guardian. As a note of warning to James Dyson, Rhys took the opportunity to promote one of his new range of innovative products… a move that may well see him dovetail into the world of industrial design. A very capable man indeed.
