For the last two years he has been representing Dublin & Ireland in the International Secret Wars Competition, not to mention clocking up a serious back catalogue of illustrations. A really nice community project by Candy Chang that gives the public an opportunity to address all the empty shops and broken buildings in their neighbourhoods. By simply filling out a sticker, entitled 'I Wish This Was...', and sticking it to an empty building or shop, a local person can suggest a use for the premises that is more valuable to and in demand by the immediate community... Posted by AlMay 2011New York's high-line Railway was originally built in the 1930's to move industrial freight trains off street level for the safety of pedestrians. The line cuts right through the centre of NYC and was used to service goods to the Meatpacking District. Having remained unused since the 80's, in the late 90's Mayor Guiliani (under pressure from private property developers) had plans to tear it down until two men Joshua David and Robert Hammond rallied against the council, won and came up with this plan for a public park. ...
